Routh’s Attempted Assassination of Former President Trump: Details Emerge

More details about attempted Trump assassin Ryan Routh have been asserted in a document submitted to the court to prevent his release on bail pending trial. When he was spotted in the bushes surrounding Trump International Golf Club, in Florida, Routh fled the scene in an SUV parked nearby. At the scene were found a loaded semiautomatic rifle, a digital camera, and a backpack and shopping bag both holding armor plates capable of stopping small arms fire. Routh’s location was in line with the green of the sixth hole.

A witness saw Routh fleeing, and he was pulled over in a traffic stop less than an hour later. The license plates on the SUV were not registered to the SUV. There were two other license plates found in the vehicle, as well as six cell phones, twelve pairs of gloves, Routh’s driver’s license and passport, and a collection of documents.

Those documents included a list, for August, September, and October 2024, of dates and venues of Trump appearances and expected appearances. A notebook had dozens of pages related to fighting for Ukraine, and criticizing Russia and China.
