Duma Speaker Volodin Says, ‘Putin Is Doing Everything To Stop a Nuclear Catastrophe’

Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin issued warnings yesterday, Sept. 17, at the fall opening session of that body, referring to NATO and U.S. threats of allowing long-range missiles from Ukraine to strike deep into Russia. “What do such strikes imply?” he asked, as reported by TASS. NATO will use satellite clusters belonging to NATO and the U.S. for targeting and command execution, he said, meaning that NATO “is completely involved in this conflict.… This discussion can lead to the most terrible consequences. They are discussing strikes on our peaceful cities, and they are discussing this while thinking this will not affect them. This is not so. We will retaliate. We have the means of retaliation. More powerful weapons are kept ready,” he warned.

Look at the state of leadership of the West, he added. Biden “is already gone,” out of the election race. Germany’s Chancellor Scholz, “who has practically lost everywhere and his future as a politician is equal to nothing,” and France’s Macron, who has no popular support, “may provoke a conflict that will entail irreversible consequences.”
