Kenya Officially Joins the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

Following a meeting on Sept. 3 between Kenya’s President William Ruto and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank President and Board of Directors Chairman Jin Liqun at the bank’s headquarters in Beijing. “Our membership in AIIB will enable us to access concessional funding for infrastructure, climate change efforts, connectivity, regional cooperation and technology-enabled projects and programmes.” Ruto wrote on his ex account after the meeting.
