Russian President Vladimir Putin met with students yesterday at School No. 20 in Kyzyl, the capital of Russia’s Siberian region of Tuva, before his departure for Mongolia later in the day, and took questions from them, including regarding the special military operation and the Ukrainian Kursk incursion. Putin forecast that the Ukrainian provocation (in Kursk) is doomed to failure, and after it, Russia’s opponents “will have a desire to really—not in words, but in deeds—to move to peaceful negotiations and settle these issues peacefully.”
“We have never given up on this,” he said, reported TASS. “I have always said that we want to solve all controversial issues by peaceful means,” the President pointed out.
