Yesterday, Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico received in the mail an envelope containing a bullet. Back on May 15, Fico had been shot five times by a would-be assassin, Juraj Cintula, who was distressed that Fico had not fallen into line with other European leaders in the rush to war against Russia.
Of note, in the weeks before May 15, Fico had warned of the threat of an assassination attempt, based upon the vitriolic targeting of him by Western-funded NGOs and media outlets. After the shooting, while in critical condition, the media frenzy against him temporarily abated; but more recently, the target has been redrawn around his head. Earlier this month, based upon the same vitriolic media pattern, he issued a new warning, of a second assassination attempt in preparation.
