Ukraine’s notorious Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), which operates out of the Office of the Presidency’s National Security and Defense Council, reported that Google and the CCD had agreed today to step up joint actions to shut down “propagandists” on YouTube who do not toe the official line. The decision was taken at a meeting between CCD chief, Andriy Kovalenko (an officer of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, they specify) and the CCD’s Deputy Head Anayit Khoperiia, with Google’s Director of Government Relations and Public Policy, CEE & Transatlantic, Marta Poslad, and Google Ukraine’s Director of Government Relations, Anna Bulakh. “We talked about propaganda and propagandists on YouTube. Soon there will be significant shifts and acceleration of counteraction, which many propagandists may not like,” CCD’s Kovalenko emphasized afterwards. No further details were given.
Remember that the CCD works closely with NATO (and USAID) in carrying out its campaign to declare who opposes, or even questions, the ongoing war to deliver a strategic defeat to Russia, as an “information terrorist” who should be tried and jailed—or “eliminated.”
