According to a new poll released by the Arab American Institute, conducted in mid-September, Harris and Trump are nearly neck-and-neck among Arab voters, with Trump slightly ahead. The report notes that, since they began polling 30 years ago, Arab Americans have been solidly Democratic, and for the past 15 years this has been by a two-to-one ratio. However, following the genocide in Gaza and the Biden-Harris complicity in it, for the first time that support has shifted. While polling data should be taken with a grain of salt, it is nonetheless worth noting.
When it comes to the choice for president among Arab Americans, Trump is barely ahead, with 42% to Harris’ 41%. Among those who plan on voting, that number jumps to 46% for Trump and 42% for Harris. All third-party candidates combined only have the support of 12% of Arab American voters, the poll found.
