Graham Fuller published a report on Oct. 12 on his blog under the above title, asserting that Israel will attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, giving multiple reasons for his conclusion. He does not address the issue of whether Israel has the capability, i.e., the lack of necessary bombs and the issue of refueling, which others have reported. His reasons include: because they can; because the U.S. won’t stop them; and because of Netanyahu’s dedication to Greater Israel.
He adds that this will deeply expand the hatred of Israel across the Arab world (despite the hesitancy of Arab governments to act in defense of Palestine), and will provoke Iran and Türkiye, the two largest powers in the region, to escalate their military and political opposition to Israel, including Iran’s nuclear weapon policies. He questions whether the attack will come before or after the BRICS Summit in Kazan on Oct. 22-24.
