According to a Reuters article, two sources reported that Gulf Arab states reassured Iran that they would remain neutral in the event of a war involving Iran and Israel. The assurances happened at a meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in Doha, Qatar. It is likely this also means that Gulf states will not allow the U.S. to use their airbases in the event of an attack against Iran.
After meeting with leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Doha, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said: “The [GCC] foreign ministers … held a meeting to discuss the situation in the region, Gaza and Lebanon. A good understanding was reached with Arab foreign ministers about resolving any problems between us or the disputes that existed, and this process can continue.”
