U.S. Vice-President Kamala Harris’ book, Smart on Crime, might have been dumb about copyright infringement, according to researcher Stefan Weber of Austria. He has posted 24 quotations from other authors and compared them to very similar language in Harris’ s 2009 book.

As quoted by RT, Weber wrote about the alleged plagiarism on his website: “What do these findings say about Kamala Harris? Is she in part fake? Did her ghostwriter plagiarize? Was it just the team behind her? I have no idea. I let other people from the U.S. draw the right conclusions.” RT adds: “In several instances Harris seemed to have lifted entire sections from Wikipedia, while other passages featured near-verbatim reproductions of an NBC News report, a John Jay College of Criminal Justice press release, and a report from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, among others.”
