Yesterday, the Syrian Observer news service translated and published an article from the pan-Arab publication al-Araby al-Jadeed, which reports that a recent series of Israeli strikes in Daraa and Suweida provinces of Syria have taken out Syrian early warning systems.

“Recent Israeli strikes, described as ‘unprecedented,’ have disabled portions of the radar and early warning systems in southern Syria. … Local networks such as Suwayda 24 reported that Israeli drones targeted several radar installations and air defense systems in the provinces of Daraa and Suweida, taking five radars offline.”

This is likely a prelude to increased Israeli military activity targeting Syria, possibly to include a campaign to push Iranian militias further back from the Israeli border.
