The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has begun conducting what are called “limited strikes” on Tehran. Israel claims that there are military targets, but no energy facilities on the target list. The U.S.has supplied THAAD missiles to Israel, and there are U.S. boots on the ground, as well as F-16 fighter jets. Commercial aircraft have been re-routed, but Israeli airspace is still open. The Iranians report that as of this writing, the Tehran Airport is still open and they have confirmed that no energy facilities have been targeted. While Tehran is probably a prime target there have also been explosions in Isfahan, Mashad and Kurdistan provinces.
