Speaking in Erie, Pennsylvania on Oct. 14, Vice President Kamala Harris announced that if elected President, she would fully legalize adult recreational use of cannabis on the federal level, according to NPR. This is the first time that a presidential nominee has taken such an unambiguous stance on pot legalization. Harris also wants to ensure that Black men, in particular, can profit from the new industry in what she calls her “opportunity economy.”
