The most notable neocons backing Kamala Harris have been Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz Cheney. Now, Victoria Nuland’s husband, confirmed neocon Robert Kagan, has resigned from his position as editor-at-large at the Washington Post, in protest over the refusal of owner Jeff Bezos to endorse Harris. Yesterday, Kagan told National Public Radio (NPR) that a Harris endorsement had been drafted, but after Bezos reviewed it, management dumped it. Kagan, among other things, co-authored with neocon Bill Kristol, the 1996 Foreign Affairs screed “Toward a Neo-Reaganite Foreign Policy,” calling for a “benevolent global hegemony” for the U.S.
