Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised President Joe Biden that Israel will hit only military targets when it retaliates against Iran for its Oct. 1 missile barrage on Israel. At least, that’s according to a Washington Post report on Oct. 14, based on claims made by unnamed officials who are, however, “familiar with the matter.” According to these officials, when Biden and Netanyahu spoke Oct. 9, the prime minister said he was planning to target military infrastructure in Iran.
