While attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of the Heads of Government (CHG) summit on Oct. 15-16 in Islamabad, Pakistan, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko told TASS on Oct. 15 that Russia will provide military assistance to North Korea if the country comes under attack. The two countries have a treaty covering such situations.
