After more than a week of pleading and cajoling, Argentina’s President Javier Milei finally got to meet Donald Trump and get his picture taken with him at a gala event Nov. 14 in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. He then immediately flooded social media with the photo and several others of him shaking hands with Elon Musk, actor Sylvester Stallone and other guests at the America First Policy Institute. Milei also started to give a speech from the stage, but the moderator abruptly cut him off after 10 minutes and asked him to step down from the podium. In his own remarks, Trump congratulated Milei for doing a “fantastic job” as President and “making Argentina great again.” The two had a brief conversation.
