Stellantis reported a 27% drop in turnover and a 20% drop in deliveries year-on-year. Stellantis controls 14 car brands: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroen, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram Trucks and Vauxhall.
Stellantic Group Chairman John Elkann refused to appear at a hearing in the Italian Parliament to account for the company’s operation in Italy, and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni accused him of showing “lack of respect” for Italy’s legislative body. Previously, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares had appeared at the hearing, saying that investment in E-mobility is the right choice; and he asked for government subsidies.
