Brice Hamard, the vice-president of the brand new “Gaullist Impulse,” one of the many small sovereignist movements in France, followed the U.S. elections. Contrary to mainstream journalists, Hamard traveled for ten days in the U.S. to explore the latest developments.
To open his report, Hamard interviewed Diane Sare, independent candidate for U.S. Senate in New York. “Sare detailed the demanding path she had to take to get on the ballot for the 2024 Senate elections.” Affiliated with “the LaRouche Party and the Schiller Institute, Sare defines herself first and foremost as a figure in the anti-war movement. `I strongly oppose the use of public funds to finance conflicts such as those in Ukraine or the Middle East. I advocate a complete de-escalation of military tensions in these regions,’ she emphasizes with conviction. Such a position, rare in the American political landscape, distinguishes her as a critical voice of the interventionism that dominates current debates in the U.S.A.”
