Speaking on Nov. 21 at a Russian Federation Council roundtable on the topic “The Doctrine of a Multipolar World versus Global and Transhumanism: Tasks of Information Policy,” Mikhail Kovalchuk, the president of the National Research Center, or “Kurchatov Institute,” debunked the climate agenda being foisted on the world by the countries of the West.
“This is how the West behaves?” Kovalchuk queried rhetorically. “They impose an agenda of scientific and technological development: ecology, climate, these institutions permeate everything like metastases.” “They throw in absolute nonsense without serious scientific analysis,” he said, observing that Western countries “earn trillions on replacing freons,” which allegedly protect the ozone layer. “Now it [the ozone layer] is ten times bigger than when they were pushing this freon idea,” he said. He went on to insist that the notion of anthropogenic climate change is nonsense and “does not lend itself to any discussion.”
