While CNN and other liberal media stoked the fires of supposed “Russian interference” in the U.S. elections, up to and even during their election coverage, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had some choice comments about the U.S. presidential race, which he made Nov. 5 at the “Inventing the Future” symposium in Moscow. RT reported:
“According to the foreign minister, U.S. Republicans and Democrats have already reached a consensus on countering Russia, so it makes no difference to Moscow whether the next President is Donald Trump or Kamala Harris.… `There is no need to take seriously what either candidate says in the heat of election rhetoric,’ he stressed.
Lavrov added: “The anti-Russian and Russophobic orientation of U.S. policy is based on internal political consensus which has a bipartisan nature.… Ukraine is seen as a key element of the hybrid war unleashed against Russia.”
