U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin refused a recent request by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for a prioritized rush delivery of ATACMS missile systems to Ukraine, ahead of other buyers, various media reported yesterday.
According to a Nov. 9 report by the Wall Street Journal, which cited two U.S. officials and a Ukrainian government adviser, the Pentagon chief insisted that breaking long-standing arms deals would be “a lot to ask.”
