Russian President Vladimir Putin heads to Kazakhstan on Nov. 27-28 for a two-day visit, including a state visit with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Astana, Presidential aide Yury Ushakov told media. “As for the talks in Astana, this will be the sixth personal meeting of the heads of state this year. As it always happens, during the visit, negotiations will be held at the highest level in a closed and expanded format. There will be a discussion of a wide range of issues of both bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian fields, and on the most pressing regional and international problems,” he said.
Ushakov reported that 20 documents are to be signed during the bilateral state visit, which cover the most important areas of bilateral cooperation. Ushakov specified that the documents outline cooperation in the areas of energy, transport, and investment, and that there will also be a joint statement on deepening strategic partnership in the new global order.
