In a post on his X account on Nov. 18, Sen. Rand Paul wrote: “Biden’s grand finale: pushing us toward WW3 before his exit. The risks of starting another world war far outweigh the temporary advantage of deep strikes. The Ukraine war must have a negotiated ending. This is an unconstitutional decision to support a seemingly random plan.”
Asked about the Biden Administration’s decision during an interview on Fox, on Nov. 19, Paul replied: “President Trump has promised to end the conflict and I would like to give him a chance to do that.” By making the missiles decision, Biden is “threaten[ing] to escalate the situation and isn’t getting us closer to a peaceful resolution. I think it would be better if we’re talking about a ceasefire, and the beginning of negotiations.”
