U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s team is contemplating direct talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in an effort to lower the risks of a potential armed conflict, Reuters reported on Nov. 26, citing sources.
Last week, Trump named former State Department official Alex Wong—who was among those overseeing the North Korea strategy during his first administration—as deputy national security advisor.
