Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz was renominated as the chancellor candidate by the executive of the Social Democrats yesterday, should the SPD win the early elections on Feb. 23. In his speech, Scholz listed supporting Ukraine at the top of his priorities. He said creating jobs would be second, after fighting inflation and reforming fiscal policy.
