Korrektiv’s managing director Jannette Gusko announced she is leaving Korrektiv to become campaign manager for Green leader Robert Habeck.
Korrektiv, whose mission is to ostensibly “debunk” alleged populist fake news, became famous this year when it revealed an alleged secret meeting with AfD leaders, supposedly plotting the “deportation” of all foreign migrants in Germany. Eventually, it came out that 1) the report was grossly exaggerated and 2) Korrektiv had infiltrated the meeting thanks to previous information supplied by government agencies (Verfassungsschutz).
