FLASH: On Saturday evening, Nov. 9, Trump posted on Truth Social, “I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation. I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Nov. 9, 2024 (EIRNS)—As various establishment operatives maneuver for appointments within the incoming Trump administration, Republican strategist and Trump loyalist Roger Stone singles out Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley as “some of the most dangerous.” In an article published on his website (and covered by Newsweek) on Friday, Nov. 8, “Why President Trump Cannot Trust Mike Pompeo,” Stone warns that “Pompeo is a neocon who champions endless war, led the charge to assassinate Julian Assange, and backed Jack Smith’s persecution of President Trump.” He reviews Pompeo’s role in bringing in neocons and “Never Trumpers” into the first Trump administration, his April 2019 boast at Texas A&M that when he was at the CIA “we lied, we cheated, we stole,” and declares that “if Pompeo is placed into the next Trump administration, his history shows he would promote the hegemony of the deep state rather than an authentic America First agenda.”
