The EU Green Deal-caused demolition of the automotive sector is proceeding in Europe. German automaker Audi has buried hopes to rescue its Belgian plant, where E-cars were produced. “The potential investor from the commercial vehicle sector has withdrawn its expression of interest,” Audi announced on Nov. 12. “There is no potential investor for the site, so the active search for investors has been concluded.” Some 3,000 workers will lose their jobs.
