Top French Military Meet with Ukraine’s British-Controlled CCD

The Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) met with a delegation of high-ranking French military officials, demanding they shift from “defensive” to “offensive” methods to fight “disinformation.” Since the CCD, based in the Ukrainian Presidency’s National Security and Defense Council, is barely distinguishable from Ukrainian institutions that claimed responsibility for the assassination of Russian Gen.-Lt. Igor Kirillov in Moscow and others, the question to be raised is if those “offensive” methods include assassination of Western figures on Ukrainian hit lists.

A press release published by the CCD says: “On Dec. 17, 2024, Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation and an officer of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, together with Anayit Khoperiya, Deputy Head of the Center, met with a delegation from the French Ministry of Defense, led by General Jean-Michel Meunier, Head of Strategic Planning at the General Staff of the French Ministry of Defense. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the French Embassy in Ukraine.”

Kovalenko “emphasized the need to transition from a defensive strategy to offensive actions to more effectively counter disinformation campaigns and hybrid threats.”
