China’s Foreign Ministry Sends a Feisty Video Message

For those imagining they can crush China’s drive for development, the Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a one-minute video Dec. 7, entitled “Chinese Foreign Ministry Releases Video of National Achievements—‘What Cannot Kill You Will Only Make You STRONGER.’” (Emphasis in original.) It opens with a few seconds of tough-talking Americans threatening China, followed by rapid-fire images of China’s successive feats and advances since the People’s Republic of China was founded in 1949. It concludes: “With No Fallback Option, the Only Way Forward Is To SUCCEED.”
