In an unprecedented initiative, the Hippocratic Oath Professional Medical Association, which is not the official German medical association, has issued an online call to preserve the peace and stop the drive into World War III, preventing above all a change of government at this critical moment that would bring Christian Democrat Friedrich Merz to power, a war hawk who seeks to deliver the Taurus cruise missile to Ukraine and prevent U.S. President-elect Donald Trump from implementing his peace policy. Remarkable is that the Hippocratic Oath call urges Scholz and his Social Democratic Party to do what is presumably unthinkable and accept the Alternative for Germany and the Wagenknecht parties to vote for Scholz to remain Chancellor.
