Germany’s Greens Move To Ensure Chancellor Will Lose Confidence Vote

The Green parliamentary group in the Bundestag will allow the Dec. 16 “no confidence” vote in Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) to succeed, by abstaining. Green party leaders Britta Haßelmann and Katharina Dröge announced: “We are proposing that the parliamentary group abstain from the vote on the vote of confidence.”
