Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) officials have told Palestinian groups in Syria that they must disarm and close down any training camps or military facilities, according to a report by Ibrahim Amin published on Dec. 13 by the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar.
As a result of the 1948 expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians during the creation of the State of Israel, a large number of refugees came to Syria, to the Yarmouk refugee camp north of Damascus.
It was at this camp that HTS officials made their announcement, Amin reports.
