Israel Targets Syrian Military Bases in Latakia and Tartus

As Russian forces in Syria are in the process of discussing with the present (and perhaps interim) government in power in Damascus, Israelis have launched bombing attacks on Syrian military bases in Latakia and Tartus, precisely the areas where Russia has its troops and its naval contingent. Is Netanyahu now sending a message to Russia with regard to its presence in Syria? Before leaving Syria, Assad had informed his military that they should do everything to protect the Russian contingents based in Syria.
