Israeli UN Ambassador Threatens Iran with 'What Happened to Hamas'

The drumbeat continues from Israel for a potential direct strike against Iran, even while the immediate “topic” is Yemen and the Houthis. On Monday, Dec. 30 at 10 a.m., the UN Security Council will hold a session on the Houthi conflict, at the request of Israel, granted by the United States, the December UNSC rotating chair.

Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon told the Los Angeles Times how he sees Israel making use of the hearing: “We intend to point out to Iran and the Houthis what happened to Hamas.” The Los Angeles Times titled its Dec. 27 coverage, “Israel’s Next Target in Its Battle with Iran: The Houthi Rebels of Yemen.”
