President-elect Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine Gen. Keith Kellogg (ret.) is planning to visit Kiev in early January, Ukrainian President Vololdymyr Zelenskyy said at his press conference today Brussels, according to TASS, citing Bloomberg. The visit “will take place in early January. We are waiting for Mr. Kellogg. Then we’ll talk about what he had in mind,” Zelenskyy said, when asked for a comment on Kellogg’s words about the possibility of negotiations on the settlement of the conflict.

TASS cited various media sources reporting that Kellogg will also visit London, Paris, Rome, and Moscow. The agency’s sources also claimed that he would go to Moscow to gather information and not achieve any specific political goals.

While Kellogg would not comment on a trip to Kiev, he told Fox Business that Trump will follow through with his promise to end the Ukrainian conflict, adding that it’s a perfect time. He said: “And I really believe that President Trump, who made this promise on the campaign trail, will actually execute this, and it’ll come to conclusion, I believe, this year. I think he’s got the right capability and ability to do it.”
