Former CIA analyst, and co-founder of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, Larry Johnson underlined yesterday the reality of the re-launching of U.S. ATACMS missiles from Ukraine into Russia: “After almost a two week hiatus, the United States helped Ukraine fire ATACMs at a Russian military base in the city of Taganrog, which is located midway between Mariupol and Rostov-on-Don on the shores of the Sea of Azov: Ukraine attacked the southern Russian port city of Taganrog with missiles early Wednesday morning [Dec. 11], acting Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar has said. ‘An industrial site has been damaged,’ Slyusar wrote on Telegram, adding that '15 cars were burned out in the parking lot…. Early reports indicate that no people were harmed,’ he wrote.”
“The U.S. has crossed a red line and Russia is vowing to forcefully respond with a new round of Oreshnik missiles. How do we know? Pentagon spokeswoman, Sabrina Singh, announced today, ‘Russia may again strike the territory of Ukraine with the Oreshnik missile in the coming days.’ This confirms, in my opinion, that Russia informed the Pentagon, in accordance with the warning Putin issued on November 27, that Russia would give the West notice and allow them to evacuate a target site before Russia launched an Oreshnik attack…. I believe that Russia will respond with a proportional, but more devastating, strike on a Ukrainian or NATO airfield.”
