Revolver News, which has followed the events surrounding January 6, 2021 closely, has responded to the release on Thursday, Dec. 12, of the report from the Department of Justice’s Inspector General regarding the January 6, 2021 events. The report reveals that there were three confidential human sources (CHS) tasked by the FBI to be in Washington. But it wasn’t only these three: “In addition to these 3 CHSs, we found that 23 other FBI CHSs were in D.C. on January 6,” says the report.
Of the 26 total CHSs acknowledged in the report, 4 entered the Capitol Building and 13 entered the restricted area surrounding it. But none of these 17 people have been charged in the years-long efforts to find and prosecute participants in the riot.
