Nervous reporting from London’s The Independent (and others) has picked up a post on X late Friday evening, Dec. 20, by President-elect Trump’s 2024 campaign coordinator Chris LaCivita calling Lord Peter Mandelson, the newly appointed U.K. ambassador to the U.S., “an absolute moron” who “should stay home!”
Sources close to Trump said that the President-elect gave LaCivita permission for the post, according to The Independent. The same sources also reported that the Trump transition team demanded that Mandelson, a “horrible, arrogant choice,” not be appointed.
