Israel is continuing its war on Gaza’s hospitals. Israeli forces in northern Gaza are now targeting two hospitals following their burning down Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya on Dec. 27, 2024, the Indonesian Hospital also in Beit Lahiya and the Al Awda Hospital in central Gaza’s Jabalia, reports Al Jazeera. In both instances, the Israel Defense Forces are reported to be forcing hospitals’ evacuations, telling civilians to either leave or be killed, and firing on and in the vicinity of both facilities.

Yesterday, Middle East Eye reported that Israel is ignoring pleas from the World Health Organization to stop attacking hospitals. Dr. Rawia Tambour told MEE that Israeli forces were firing heavy artillery shells in the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital, while quadcopters shot at anything that moved. “Israeli military vehicles are advancing towards the hospital,” Tambour said in an audio message, as the sounds of blasts echoed in the background. The Indonesian Hospital, one the biggest health facilities in northern Gaza, has been out of service for weeks due to ongoing Israeli attacks and a debilitating siege put in place since early October, yet is still being used as shelter for civilians.
