Kiev Regime Attacks Compressor Station Supplying Gas to TurkStream Pipeline

The Russkaya Compressor Station near Gay-Kodzor in the Krasnodar region, the beginning of the 930-km (580-mile) TurkStream pipeline from Russia to Türkiye, was the target of a Ukrainian drone attack yesterday. According to a statement issued by the Defense Ministry, Russian air defenses shot down nine heavy attack drones, and there was no damage to the facility.

“This is a new, a very dangerous link for European consumers in the chain of actions on explosions, organization of explosions and sabotage on the Nord Stream [gas pipeline]. This is the halt of gas transit, the halt of compressor plants in Sudzha (Kursk region) and so on,” Peskov told reporters.

According to RT, the European Commission has expressed concern over reports of a thwarted Ukrainian drone strike on a gas pipeline that supplies several of the bloc’s member states. During a press briefing on Monday, the EC spokesperson for energy, climate, and environment, Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, stated that “obviously, any attack on energy infrastructure is something that is worrying.”
