The Newest UK Provocation: Military Bases in Ukraine?

Russia has reacted to statements by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer who, after signing the “100 Years Treaty” with Kiev, spoke about the creation of British military bases in Ukraine. “The Participants will explore options for deploying and maintaining defense infrastructure in Ukraine, including military bases, logistics depots, reserve military equipment storage facilities and war reserve stockpiles.” The Kremlin characterized Starmer’s remarks as “worrying,” adding that it will carefully study the text of the treaty.

The treaty, however, does not mention defense “infrastructure” on Ukrainian territory.
