Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted an “informal” meeting of Arab leaders in Riyadh to discuss the regional crisis and the Egyptian Gaza reconstruction plan on Feb. 21. The meeting took place today ahead of the emergency Arab League summit in Cairo on March 4. High on the agenda of the March 4 summit will be the Egyptian reconstruction plan for Gaza, which is the Arab answer to President Donald Trump’s so-called Gaza Riviera plan.
Those attending were Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa; Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani; U.A.E. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed; Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman; Jordan’s King Abdullah II; Kuwait Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi; Jordan Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II; and Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed.
While no joint statement was released, the U.A.E.’s Sheikh Mohamed said the meeting was ‘'part of efforts to further strengthen coordination and consultation between our countries'’ and thanked Saudi Arabia for hosting it, reported The National.
