Charles Sannat, a popular French economics commentator who defines himself as a sovereignist, has been for years writing daily, uncompromising, humorous and devastating comments against the French elites, on his own websites such as Morning Contrarian, or in his current daily newsletter, Insolentia.
In today’s Insolentia editorial, he tries to explain to all those who don’t understand why Trump and the Russians are excluding Europeans from the negotiations on Ukraine. Before going into the subject, however, he reminds his readers about the stark reality of today’s Europe. Europe was supposed to be about peace, prosperity, and greatness, but it has failed miserably in all those areas. “Saudi Arabia is at the forefront of world diplomacy. Brilliant result, isn’t it, for France and Europe alike?”
Then going into the current negotiations on Ukraine, he notes that “it’s a peace being carried out by sovereignists.… Ukraine has been used by the ‘globalists’ of NATO, Europe and the United States to destroy, weaken and bleed Putin’s Russia, with Russian natural resources in their sights....
“When Vance, the U.S. vice president, talks about freedom of expression, it’s a weapon used against European leaders who are globalist enemies of the new sovereignist America. The Americans and the Trump administration want to bring down and destroy all ‘globalist’ structures or else the globalists will return to the United States through the European Union.
