Germany Is More CO2 Free—and More Industry Free!

Hurrah, CO2 emissions declined by 3% in Germany, marking a triumph towards the salvation of the planet—too bad, that it has occurred at the expense of the economy. In December, production in manufacturing industry shrank by 2.4% compared to the previous month, according to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). It marks the sharpest decline since July. Over the year either, industrial production fell by 4.5% in 2024 compared to the previous year.
