While President Donald Trump is making his wild statements about Gaza sans Palestinians, the Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, Abdel Hafiz Nofal, confirmed plans to hold an international summit on the Middle East in New York in June.
“As regards the summit, it will be held in New York in June. Well, something has to be done. The war must ultimately end… based on a two-state solution. This idea has the backing of numerous countries, including Russia,” he told TASS.
“Hopefully, all countries, including the United States, Russia, China, and European nations, will find common ground, for there is much to be done in Gaza,” Nofal explained. “Most importantly, the Palestinian government must be restored in Gaza. This is the only option that could put an end to the Gaza war,” he concluded. He also said that the reconstruction of Gaza would require $80 billion dollars.
