Geraci Reports His Impressions from Munich Security Conference

Italian economist Michele Geraci, who attended the speech J.D. Vance delivered on his lecture on democracy to the Feb. 14-16 Munich Security Conference, reported his impressions on X. Here is the translation of his post:

“In summary, Vance here in Munich instead of talking about U.S. security, he criticized tout court, in chronological order: 1) The EU calling those who don’t think like von der Leyen ‘disinformation'; 2) A number of countries, England, Germany for restricting freedom of speech, and even freedom of thought; 3) The whole of Europe for denying its own values and now instead using language and acting like the Soviet Union and other dictatorial regimes; 4) He then said that Europe’s enemies are not Russia or China, but are within Europe, i.e. some governments and the EU itself.
