The same federal judge who ran the Jan. 6 criminal case against Trump, Biden appointee U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, yesterday denied the petition filed by a number of Attorneys General for a restraining order against DOGE and Elon Musk, according to CNN
Chutkan denied the petition to temporarily block DOGE accessing federal data systems at various executive branch agencies, because the petitioners hadn’t shown “that they will suffer imminent, irreparable harm absent a temporary restraining order.” She further stated: “The court is aware that DOGE’s unpredictable actions have resulted in considerable uncertainty and confusion for Plaintiffs and many of their agencies and residents.… It remains ‘uncertain’ when and how the catalog of state programs that Plaintiffs identify will suffer.”
So the underlying Constitutional and other issues will continue through the court system; but the TRO was denied.
