FLASH: Ukraine Acting President Volodomy Zelenskyy stated this evening that he will go to Washington for meetings on Friday, Feb. 28, whose content will involve a deal on Ukraine’s mineral resources with the U.S. Talks have been underway toward this in recent days.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is scheduled to meet Thursday, Feb. 27 with President Trump. Sir Keir Starmer (he likes the appellation) showed up in Kiev yesterday to grandstand as a great European leader—joining the gaggle of other Europeans who appeared in a show of force on the third anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale Ukraine-Russia conflict, to defend permanent war in Europe against Donald Trump’s advocacy for peace. He began his speech by proclaiming that Russia “does not hold all the cards in this war,” repeating the lie that Russia’s economy is “in trouble … and because they have now lost the best of their land forces and their Black Sea Fleet.” So, don’t let up the pressure, he intoned, outlining three steps that should be taken to ensure “peace,” while reminding Ukrainians that “the U.K. is with you” just as it has been from day one, to keep the war going.
